Darla's Story
Life
After high school I went to Cal State San Bernardino where I earned my BA in Sociology. I also earned an AA in Criminal Justice during that same period. I married my high school sweetheart and we had one son, who is now 17 and my pride and joy. He will be graduating from high school this year and will begin college this summer. the last 10 years, and am currently a Juvenile Probation Officer. I volunteer with the Make-A-Wish foundation as a Wish Grantor, which is extremely rewarding. In 2001, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, and in 2002 I received a Bone Marrow transplant. I am a 6 year cancer survivior, which has made me an extremely strong person. I love spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, and doing things that make me and others laugh.
